Landfill

Introduction:

We all should thank the City of Mesquite for their efforts put forth to build this most needed landfill.  The City has always had a place to dump trash, but until October 1, 1994 we all disposed of our trash into a "DUMP".  The government started to impose certain regulations known as "Subtitle D" that required most "dumps" to be closed by a certain date.  To own and operate a landfill, it would need to be brought up to "Subtitle D" standards.  Thanks to the City's governing body, they elected to build a "Subtitle D" landfill which would service them for many years.
